Apple October Event (Recap)
Wednesday, 23 October 2013
We have gotten to the stage where Apple Events are becoming like a recap of the rumors that precede the events and likewise, we witnessed just that yesterday at Apple's October 22nd Special Event. It was just too predictable... The products were exact replicas of the leaked versions. Even after Apple promised at the end of last year that they will strengthen their security to lessen the data leaked to the press. If anything we have seen more leaked images and even hands-on videos with components of these devices this year but non the less, the event was a brilliant showcase of Apple's progress over the year and most importantly... It showed that Apple isn't going to follow the crowd (with products like Tablet-PC's) and that Apple has dedicated it's time to perfection rather than just getting products on the market.
Designed By Apple In California (Ad)
Apple opened its Event with this video that they debuted at the September Event. The video highlights Apple's Craftsmanship and their key values. It speak about how Apple redesigns their products until everything they touch, enhances every life it touches. The Video keeps with Apple's sophisticated black & white theme and has a very flat and simple design.
Updates
After the video, Tim Cook (CEO Of Apple) took to the stage to give us some updates on the success of Apple in 2013. He Stressed the importance of Apps and how Apple has reached 60 Billion Cumulative app downloads. He talked about the new iPhones and mentioned that the iPhone 5S & 5C Launch day was the biggest launch day yet. They then played a video to show the experience of an Apple Launch day...
Apps
Apple's much loved app suites took main stage. Apple's new iWork & iLife suites add to the beautiful facade of OSX Mavericks and the gorgeous flat iOS7. These apps do more than just add beauty to our docks and app drawers, they are productivity at our fingertips! Apple redesigned & reinvented Pages, Keynote, Number, iMovie, GarageBand & iPhoto to making them easier to use and giving users a more professional output. These apps are free on any new Mac or iOS Device. (Purchased after the event)
OSX Mavericks
OSX Mavericks was originally showcased with iOS7 back in September. This software was brought back to the stage where Apple explained its features again (as if we forgot about it). We saw DEMO's of iBooks for Mac , the all new maps & the redesigned Calendar app. Still no Siri *Sigh*. Apple really captured the audiences attention when they announced that OSX Mavericks will be available after the event for FREE! Any user, even a user with a Mac from 2007 can upgrade to OSX Mavericks for free.
Macbook Pro With Retina Display (Late 2013)
The new Macbook Pro with Retina Display is a rather peculiar upgrade since the flagship laptop series was last updated in June this year! But Apple released this update to eliminate the old Macbook Pro. The new version is basically the Macbook Pro With Retina Display (Mid 2013) with a slightly faster processor and a cheaper price-tag to meet the Pro halfway when it comes to affordability. The new Retina is thiner, lighter and over-all more value for money. The Macbook ships after the event.
Macbook Updates
Apple said that they are extremely proud of the Macbook line-up. Tim Cook goes to say that the new Macbook Air has been the best reviewed Macbook yet. He even quoted various reviews with lines such as 'The Macbook Air is as close perfection as a notebook can get' and 'Mind Blown!' Tim Cook addressed their competition's Tablet PC's.
"Now, our competition is different: they're confused. They chased after netbooks. Now they're trying to make PCs into tablets and tablets into PCs. Who knows what they'll do next?" - Tim Cook
Mac Pro
The monarch of the Mac family makes its triumphant full debut after it was teased at the September Event. Apple shared the full specs of this tower which includes a a massive 12GBs of RAM, Support for 6 Thunderbolt displays & 3 4K screens , 2GBs of Graphics and just 9.9 inches high! Unfortunately great hardware comes at a steep price with the base level Mac Pro priced at $2999! Well, at least it will be exclusive...
iPad Updates
Tim Cook praises the iPad with statements such as "Our most advanced technology in a magical & revolutionary device."Apple gives us some statistics about iPads. Apple has sold over 170 Million iPads. Cook talks about how iPads have the majority of Tablet usage & are #1 in Customer Satisfaction! Over 475000 apps that are tailor made for the iPad and not 'stretched out smartphone applications'. Cook then moves over to a video of how people are using ipads. Watch Now
iPad With Retina Display
The iPad mini gets revised with a new crisp Retina display of 326 ppi. We also see both the Apple A7 & M7 chips in this tablet. The new processors are bound to really boost this little device. The iPad Mini with Retina Display will sell for $399 however the current iPad Mini will drop down to $299. The new price of the iPad Mini is definitely something that will be attractive to consumers who are interested in cheaper 7' tablets like the Kindle Fire & Nexus 7. I think the Retina display is really the icing on top of the cake. It really perfects the tablet. A beautiful design, gorgeous screen and immersive Operating System - What can I fault?
iPad Air
The Regular sized iPad gets a massive face-lift to match its younger brother, the iPad Mini. The bezel is relatively slimmer and the device is much thiner than the previous version. The device gets its name from its extremely jaw-dropping 1 pound weight which makes it the lightest full-size tablet on the market. The iPad 5th Generation (Air) gets the same A7 and M7 chips as the Retina and 264ppi screen. The price of the iPad Air stays at its regular $499 price-tag. Both iPads come in White/Silver & Space Grey. I truly don't know what more Apple could have done with this tablet! It truly remarkable. This Tablet will have even their competition doubting themselves...

All You Need to Survive : Apple October 22nd Event!
Tuesday, 22 October 2013
Apple is taking to the world-wide stage again this afternoon to bring us upgraded and innovated products that are guaranteed to make our lives simplier and more productive. Among the various products, we are likely to see the much anticapated iPad 5th Generation, a second generation iPad Mini, The Consumer release of OSX Mavericks & more details about the outlandish Mac Pro! I would also like to see an upgraded iPod Classic (since we haven't seen a upgraded iPod this year!) Over the past few months we've seen leaked images of realistic components for the new iPads and even hands-on videos with some back-panels. Apple's iPad has been the crowd favoriote tablet for the past few years but with tablets like the new Kindle Fire HDX and the new Nexus 7 taking the market by storm , Apple needs to really secure their dominating position with these new updated iPads or it could be too late for the iPad race...

New iPads Expected to Release October 22nd! #Throwback
Tuesday, 22 October 2013
The Tablet family that you both know and love is about to get a flavour-packed update. Apple is expected to hold another press conference at the end of this month where the new iPads are set to take center stage. The Date October 22nd seems to be popular with many rumours. In this post i’m going to disect the various leaks and rumours that are flooding the internet and bring to you the best of them out there.
iPad Mini With Retina Display
In the above picture you can have a good look at the upcoming iPad Mini 2 or The iPad Mini with Retina Display. You can see the rather familiar shape and texture of the current iPad mini but what we also see is a “Space Grey” colour variant as suppose to the Slate colour option with the current iPad mini which was a few shades darker. This means that we could actually see new colours supported on the Mini. The iPad Mini 2 will supposedly ship with :
- Apple’s A6 Processor.
- A 8MP Back-facing camera (Still no flash.)
- A Retina Screen With a Resolution of about 336 ppi
- iOS 7
Q - Will The new iPads have Touch ID like the iPhone 5S
A - There is a possibility that they might, we have discovered that the size of the Touch ID Home Button can in fact fit in the new iPads body but whether they would do it is unlikely as it would make the iPads more costly.
iPad (5th Generation)
The pioneer tablet gets a facelift. This picture shows the alleged iPad 5 on top of the iPad With Retina Display (4th Generation.) As you can see above the tablet has adopted the much loved design of the iPad mini. The back has a matte finish with the new black apple logo to match the flatter design of iOS 7. I personally prefer this back as suppose to the current back, the new backing has better grip and looks cleaner and more appealing. Along with a design update, the iPad is sure to get a upgraded processor and camera.
Other Products
We could also see the GM (Golden Master) of OSX Mavericks launch to the public at that event and with that we could also finally get more information about the revamped Mac Pro that Apple teased earlier this year. So it goes without saying that this event is going to be much more interesting than the previous September event and we will definitely see more NEW technology debuted.
